Dr. Elizabeth Blanchard

As a licensed clinical psychologist in New York State with a Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) from Pace University, I have extensive training in therapy, assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults  in both school and clinical settings.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to apply my passion for providing children and adolescents with quality clinical services, with and within many different systems. These have included leadership roles in special education schools, Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), foster care, college settings, as well as clinical outpatient and day treatment programs. One of my areas of expertise is treating children, teens, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also have significant experience working with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and challenging childhood behaviors. I am also passionate about working with parents, as well as adults, without children to achieve their personal goals. 

Seeking out a psychologist for either psychotherapy services or psychological assessment can be an overwhelming and daunting task for some. I pride myself on taking the time to get to know my clients and family, their concerns and strengths, in a comfortable, patient, and nonjudgemental manner. When working with children, teens and parents it is essential to center it around playfulness and humor. After all, the aim of any mental health treatment is to find more joy and happiness in one's life.
